Yannick Michiels är SV:s nya belgiska förstärkning. Han utökar antalet belgiska förstärkningar i vår förening till 4 (Ken Peeters, Jeremy Genar och Miek Fabre tidigare förstärkningar). Vi har bra erfarenheter av våra belgiska klubbkompisar och Yannick vill vara en del av vår fina verksamhet. Här nedan har Yannick presenterat sig själv.

My name is Yannick Michiels (29/07/1991) and I'm living in the North-East part of Belgium, close to the Dutch border. I'm used to train in the typical 'Kempen terrain' (flat sand dunes area), so it's a great opportunity to become member of SV and train more in technical Finnish terrain. I started orienteering in 2001 and have been member of the Belgian Junior team for JWOC. My best results were 20th in Long and 21st in Sprint (2010 - Denmark) and 24th in Middle Distance (2011 - Poland). I also represented Belgium for WOC Sprint in France (2011). Besides orienteering, I'm also a member of a athletics club. During whole the year, I ran also track races, street races and cross country (wintertime). I hope to develop the technical aspect of orienteering next years with SV in Finland and the rest of the world. I'm looking forward to it!
